Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree; Advanced degree, MBA or equivalent is a plus
  • 1-3 years of relevant specialist education or transport industry experience, preferably working in a research or central business function
  • Solid understanding of economic, financial, and general business concepts and terminology
  • Strong IT skills, including proficiency with Excel, PowerPoint, and basic business tools
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and quantitative skills
  • Strong multi-tasking abilities
  • Professional attitude and service orientation; team player

Who You'll Work With
You'll work in our North American Knowledge Center in Waltham, MA as part of our Travel Transport & Logistics (TTL) practice.
Our Travel Transport & Logistics practice works with clients in the travel and tourism space as well as freight and passenger transportation sectors - be it via ocean, air, roads, rail. Beyond the transportation companies, we also work for the respective transport infrastructure operators. The majority of our clients are airlines, airports, tour operators, hotels, rental car providers, railways, urban transit operators, postal, parcel and express services, trucking companies, port operators, shipping lines, and much more.
What You'll Do
You will develop classic industry analyses, keep up to date with industry developments and help our consultants apply cutting-edge industry knowledge to client problem-solving.

In this role you'll work with practice colleagues worldwide to provide research support to McKinsey consulting teams looking at Americas but also global transport markets. You will apply yourself to the complex issues facing leading companies in this sector, draw on your creativity, initiative, enthusiasm, research and analytical skills to deliver leading-edge thinking in clear, well-structured communications.

With increasing industry experience, you develop into a true thought-partner for our senior consultants and build up in-depth knowledge spikes as well as industry perspectives.
