Overview

General Psychiatrist, Inpatient, Lawrence & Memorial Hospital, New London, Connecticut

We seek a Board Certified/Board Eligible Psychiatrist for an 18-bed inpatient Psychiatry unit at Lawrence & Memorial Hospital which offers a full nursing and support staff.

Qualifications

EDUCATION

MD or MBBS; completion of an accredited medicine psychiatry residency program

EXPERIENCE

Completion of the above educational programs.

LICENSURE

Licensed to practice medicine in the state of CT. ABIM certification as noted above.

PHYSICAL DEMAND

MMR is required. Varivax (chicken pox vaccine) or evidence of prior chicken pox is required. Hepatitis B (or signed declination) is required for those with potential exposure to blood/body fluids. Tdap and influenza vaccination are strongly encouraged. May be exposed to infectious diseases in the setting of caring for sick patients. Standing, walking and sitting most of day. Working with lightweight equipment.
