Overview

Engineers of various experience levels supporting a multidisciplinary team designing, building, maintaining, and supporting the certification of the ship control system trainers, and the Bridge indication and communication for the safe operation of US submarines. We seek highly motivated candidates across multiple engineering disciplines including systems engineering and electronics hardware engineering. Candidates will support systems and component engineering efforts to conceptualize, develop, verify, deploy and maintain complex integrated electronics systems.

Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:

    Support ongoing system and component development and integration, with a strong focus on establishing, understanding, and meeting requirements
  • Systems engineering, analysis and modeling
  • Provide Concepts, production, integration and support engineering support for various electrical and electronic hardware components. Activities include circuit design, component selection, electronics packaging, procurement, documentation, prototyping, troubleshooting and qualification
  • Test plan development, test execution and analysis
  • Development of required test environments
  • Software/hardware integration and formal verification
Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor's of Science degree or higher in Engineering, Computer Engineering, Systems Engineering, Electrical or related Bachelor of Science in a tecnical field
  • Ability to obtain or maintain a DoD Secret level clearance
  • Internal candidates must be from organizations outside of Operations (Casciano/Gabriel)

Preferred:

  • Design and/or operation of US Navy electronics systems (including Fly-By-Wire control systems).
  • Diagnostics and troubleshooting of electronics systems
  • Real-time embedded system development
  • Control systems analysis and modeling
  • MATLab & Simulink
  • Engineering and requirements management tools (DOORS, etc.)
  • DoD Cybersecurity analysis and implementation
Skills
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • The ability to work in a fast paced collaborative team environment
