Job Description
Description Participates in planning, implementation, management and evaluation of Clinical Laboratory Support Services activities in the Division of Laboratory Medicine in accordance with accepted national standards and administrative policies. Manager helps oversee and support registration of patients and specimens from various outside referrals. Manager oversees the processing of specimens and overall pre-analytic quality of specimens. Manager will oversee equipment to process specimens, which could include centrifuges and automation equipment, including helping maintain equipment. Manager will follow up on specimen problems, add on testing, and rejection of specimens. This would include reaching out to end users, which may include physician, nurses and patients (or families). Manager may also interact and help oversee on-site reference lab processors, like Quest/Lab Corp.
Qualifications Minimum Education
Bachelor's Degree Medical Technology, Biology, Chemistry or Business administration (Required)

Minimum Work Experience
5 years Healthcare setting. (Required)

  • Contributes to development and monitoring of operating and capital budgets
