Our Team

Located at 111 Norfolk Street in Walpole, MA, our Primary Care practice provides complete care to both individual patients and whole families, including:

  • Infants
  • Children
  • Teens
  • Adults
  • Seniors

We deliver a full range of preventive and health maintenance care. Our doctors also treat a range of acute and chronic health problems. In addition, we coordinate our patients' care when they need treatment by specialists.

We are a small office with a close-knit team of Providers, Medical Assistants and front desk staff who run our practice as a cohesive team! If you are looking to join a collaborative team who works closely together this is the position for you!

Schedule/Hours

Our office is open Mondays and Tuesdays from 7:30am to 7:00pm and Wednesday through Friday from 7:30am to 5:00pm. Shifts are staggered to ensure we have Medical Assistant coverage for all hours of operations,

General Overview

Our Medical Assistants play an integral part in the operations of our community-based physician practices. Dedicated to clinical support, the Medical Assistant ensures a smooth patient flow within the practice and assists in the examination and treatment of patients under the direction of physician or advanced practitioner.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinates pre-visit preparations including addressing the special needs of patients (i.e. comfort measures, communication, and other appropriate issues), ensuring relevant labs and tests are scheduled and completed prior to office visit, organization of paper chart, etc.
  • Escorts patients to the exam rooms and take vital signs.
  • Performs a variety of patient care procedures within the Medical Assistant (MA) scope of practice, including but not limited to: injections and EKG's.
  • Obtains blood specimens in accordance with established procedures, while maintaining a professional, patient-sensitive atmosphere.
  • Provides assistance to providers with office procedures.
  • Prepares requisitions and submits specimens to the laboratory.
  • Sends in electronic prescriptions for patients that have been instructed by providers.
  • Communicates with patients regarding laboratory, imaging results and prescription instructions per practice protocol.
  • Cleans and restocks exam rooms.
  • Maintains the strictest confidentiality of any and all patient records including but not limited to treatment, diagnosis, history, medication, and financial status.
Qualifications

Qualifications

  • High school graduate or equivalent required.
  • Graduate of a Medical Assistant training program, nursing student, or Paramedic required.
  • National Medical Assistant Certification required.
  • CPR training required.
  • Experience working as a Medical Assistant preferred
  • Epic experience preferred
  • Primary care experience preferred, specifically in a family medicine/pediatric setting
