Job Description

The Small Law Firm (SLF) High Value Client Executive (HVA CMI) is responsible for customer retention and increasing Westlaw revenue, usage, and market-share in their assigned account territory. The High Value Client Executive leverages expertise in customer relations, practice experience, negotiations, and product mastery to increase product usage, remove obstacles, and communicate overall product value to top tier customers.

Note: This is a *hybrid role (*mix of working in-office and from home each week) and can be based in either of these Hub office locations: Minneapolis/St. Paul area (Eagan, MN), Dallas area (Frisco, TX), or Ann Arbor, MI.

About the Role

In this opportunity as an Associate Client Executive, you will:

  • Drive Results: Meet monthly renewal volume and revenue requirements

  • Consultation: Promoting Thomson Reuters digital capabilities to help customers do business on their time in a simplified way

  • Retention Focused: Securing long term revenue by targeting multi-year contract goals and assisting with renewal portfolio growth by reaching upsell goals

  • Product Proposition: Designs and develops strategies to increase market share, conducts demonstrations to introduce and position new products effectively

  • Sales Process: Aligning with workflow methodology and digital forward workstream

  • Reporting: Maintaining an accurate and up-to-date renewal portfolio by meeting business system logging requirements

  • Planning: Forecasting your business attainment accurately on a monthly basis


About You

You may be a fit for the role of Associate Client Executive if your background includes:

  • J.D. or equivalent legal experience preferred

  • Demonstrated experience in exceeding expectations as an Associate Client Executive and meeting broader strategic objectives during tenure

  • Strong communication and presentation skills, especially via telephone, required

  • High degree of professionalism and strong leadership skills required

  • Well-developed negotiation skills required

  • Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, changing environment

  • Demonstrates superior CRM knowledge and technical skills

  • Ability to travel occasionally to training sessions, meetings, and to customer locations
