Position Location: We're all about flexibility. This will be a remote role based out of our corporate headquarters in Lakeville, MA. We are open to remote candidates.

The Global Ingredients Business Planning Manager at Ocean Spray plays a key role in delivering a highly reliable forecast and business plan to ensure the best service and cost to our Global Ingredients' customers. This role works together with our Lakeville based commercial team and colleagues in LATAM and Asia to develop the demand forecast for our Global Ingredients business based on input gathered from key Ocean Spray stakeholders both internal (sales team members) and external (brokers and customers) to deliver volume and financial targets. This role will also assist in the development, accuracy, and tracking of the demand forecast for Ocean Spray's Annual Operating Plan (AOP) and Long-Range Plan (LRP) forecasts. Lastly, this role will identify and implement improvements in efficiency by creating opportunities within the overall demand planning process.
This role requires strong collaboration and communication with various stakeholders across internal cross-functional teams and external partners. It requires critical analytical capabilities and the ability to synthesize data into actionable information. This role also will assist in managing internal systems across our planning platforms and driving more effective planning capabilities within the team.

A Day in the Life...

  • Lead and own the creation of the Global Ingredients demand forecast for the planning department which is built in collaboration with a team including field sales, regional business planners, and regional brokers/agents through a disciplined process assessing customer forecasts, historical sales, market and category intelligence, operational priorities and challenges, and business strategy.
  • Within the business planning process, support the development of the Ingredients' business monthly future sales forecast to help anticipate the delivery of the monthly sales plan, variances to the monthly plan and future sales estimate, anticipate and recognize challenges in product supply impacting delivery performance, and make recommendations to improve forecast and monthly results.
  • Assist in the monthly Integrated Business Planning (IBP) process, which is the process of forecasting unconstrained customer demand, revealing risks and opportunities due to supply or other factors, and projecting revenue for the Global Ingredients business.
  • Collaborate with regional commercial and finance teams to identify critical risks and opportunities to the monthly forecast.
  • Identify process improvements and lead monthly forecast process to improve forecast accuracy, facilitate effective communication, and improve steps in the overall business planning cycle.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with operations, supply planning, logistics, customer service, and others to ensure the delivery of the monthly sales plan while escalating risks to the plan impacting revenue and operating income.
  • Assist in the development, consolidation, and review of the Annual Operating Plan and Long-Range Plan demand forecast. Lead the planning activities linked to these internal business initiatives on behalf of the planning team.
  • Lead regularly occurring collaborative meetings and reporting timelines with key stakeholders to ensure accuracy and consistency of information with business requirements.
  • This role collaborates with sales teams including brokers/agents, marketing, finance, purchasing, supply planning, and other departments as appropriate to obtain current, accurate and relevant information related to product demand and supply.
  • This role has management responsibilities for one direct report and will aid in all areas of people management including coaching, developing, and leading for future growth.

What We Are Looking For:

  • Experience with demand modelling, scenario planning and allocation
  • Background in forecast management and S&OP/IBP process
  • Proficiency in business intelligence tools and platforms (ie Power BI and SAP)

Education:

Bachelor's or University Degree (Required)Master's Degree (Preferred)

Annual Salary:

$92,900 - $127,700

The base salary range information above serves as a guideline of the position's typical hiring range.
